Sportradar and NHL Sign 10-Year Landmark Partnership Deal

Global provider of sports betting and sports entertainment products and services Sportradar announced today a 10-year partnership deal with the National Hockey Association (NHL) to become the league’s Official Betting Data and Streaming Rights and Official Media Data Rights and Integrity Partner.

Focus on Fan Engagement

Under the landmark deal, Sportradar and the NHL will collaborate to expand the league’s outreach by leveraging the tech company’s diverse and versatile solutions to offer fans deeper insights into the game and enhance fan engagement.

Sportradar, the NHL’s Official Global Data Distributor since 2015, gained distribution rights of the NHL’s official data and statistics, including the league’s new real-time Puck and Player Tracking technology, as well as live streams of NHL games via Sportradar’s digital betting platform available to sports wagering operators in legalized markets.

Sports Betting Partnerships outside of North America

The deal has provisions for sports betting partnerships outside of North America by utilizing Sportradar’s data-driven marketing solution ad:s, which already proved its value via NHL’s recent Baltic region partnership with Olybet and deal with Czech betting group Tipsport.

Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) will continue to be deployed by the league’s official integrity services provider, to help safeguard the integrity of the NHL by monitoring global betting activity and trends.
